This is a large board, about 2 1/2 feet by 5 feet that I work on. I doodle, wipe off brushes, scribble to get my pens to work, take notes on song lyrics that make me laugh. Eventually, when the board is good and messy, I'll take it outside for Mike to cut it into various sizes. The "work surface boards" turn into the series Street Magic.Monday, February 26, 2007

I have a board just like that! only it's charcoal smears, pen scribblings, and gesso blobs... I think it's great that the new paintings all have this "history."
